how it all started
Heart Cards began over a decade ago, created by John Robert Coleman (JR), a Hawaii-based teacher, poet, and friend of June Dillinger. Originally simple in design, the cards were packed in jewelry boxes. After JR’s passing in 2019, Chip Phelps encouraged June to carry on the project. She revived the cards, keeping their essence while refining the design and packaging.

Driven by love, June polished the deck, improving everything from grammar to paper quality. She partnered with a local print shop, Professional Image, where Melissa Steinfeld helped produce the first 500 decks in December 2020, which sold out in just two months. Another contributor soon created a Note Booklet to expand the Heart Cards experience.

Heart Cards have since found their way into home gatherings, yoga classes, and corporate events, fostering self-love and connection. Facilitators and users draw cards to reflect, share, and discover new ways to connect with themselves and others.

CHIP PHELPS – Founding Member, Believer in Love
Chip Phelps and June Dillinger collaborated to carry out the wishes of JR Coleman, Heart Card developer, to bring these special cards to the market. Chip operates Leveraged Leadership, LLC in Honolulu. It is a training and coaching service for Career Transition and Professional Growth and Development Emotional Intelligence and Leadership. His continued role with Heart Cards has created opportunities from working with the government to grief support, areas that need more love and support than ever.
JEROME BERLINGER – Advocate Patron & Vice President
Jerome Berlinger, Vice President of Heart Cards Global has been in accounting for major corporations and not-for-profits for the majority of his career in Hawaii. Recently retired from the profession, he has devoted his time to assisting businesses that provide their services to the community. His passion for giving comes alive in helping people and seeing them grow.
“V” JAY DEVEAS – Notebook Content Creator, Thought Leader
“V” Jay DeVeas discovered there was a way to create a moment in time where love for “Self” and then others could exist and it would come through the discovery of 3 ACTS. He hand-selected and created the “One Hour Session” solely on his own and his passion for what’s possible in love. He is rich with 4 daughters and a son, along with many who have crossed his path. V has consistently insisted the Heart Cards remain in integrity with JR Coleman’s original creation.
LUCIE LYNCH – International Singer-Songwriter
Lucie is a spirited musician guided by Source. “Love is the Only Way” created by Lucie is our theme song. Her accomplishments range from participation in the Unity Village Spiritual Music Awards to creating the film called “Mother Earth” which aired in Honolulu in the IMAX theater, and is the co-author of the play “Money Talks: But What The Hell Is It Saying” performing nationwide. Matthew, her husband, and dog Bouncer are her true joys. Joining Heart Cards has become natural for Lucie. June and Lucie tour the country making love visible to anyone who crosses their path.
JOE PEACH GRAVES – Facebook Ambassador
Joe Peach Graves joins our team as a voice with a heart. His desire to Make Love Visible comes in many forms from being an international award-winning Toastmaster, published author, and people supporter when community and personal development is involved. Serving as the Facebook Ambassador gives us a window to the world with Joe’s knowledge. His guidance in building our training program is keen and works in tandem with the global effect we intend to create. JOE IS THE MAN when it comes to sharing the truth about love in all ways.
